sorbitolis mainly used for treating diseases such as cerebral edema and glaucoma, and is also used as an intermediate in vitamin C production and a diuretic and dehydrating drug. In the food industry, it can be used as a sweetener and a humectant, and is also applied in cosmetics, pharmaceutical excipients, and biochemical research fields. Industrial production uses a nickel catalyst to undergo a hydrogenation reaction of glucose at 150℃.
